The Mental Health Association of San Mateo County has a long history of developing affordable housing for individuals with mental illness in San Mateo County. Since 1986, MHA has constructed and/or purchased/rehabilitated emergency, transitional and permanent housing sites for individuals with serious mental illness to provide the appropriate type of housing and level of support to meet their needs. MHA currently owns 10 properties, providing 88 units of affordable housing in San Mateo County.
