YAIL (Young Adult Independent Living)
YAIL is a collaboration between the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County and Caminar. MHA owns and maintains the facility; program services are offered by Caminar. The site includes 3 apartments, each with two bedrooms. The program provides young adults with mental illness the support and assistance necessary to participate in community activities at the highest level of independence possible

Location: Redwood City
Housing Type: Temporary

Services
  • Temporary, affordable housing.
  • Support services to help residents learn to manage symptoms and develop skills for independent living.

Eligibility
YAIL participants must be:

  • San Mateo County residents.
  • 18-22 years old.
  • Diagnosed with a mental illness.
